TMNT
Aug. 8, 2008
TMNT (which is short for Teenamge Mutant Ninja Turtles) instantly popped out at me for its nostalgic value.

Pros
- The emphasis in this game on navigating the environment using your ninja moves was very fun. Being able to leap through levels quickly was awesome.
- Climbing across walls was FAST. This is something that irritates me about so many games that allow this. In GTA4, when you want to shimmy across a wall, it takes an hour to get to the other side.
- It's classic TMNT humor and stories. I have to admit I laughed out loud once, when I realized I'd be playing an entire level with a mascot mask on.
- The one boss battle I got to was a lot of fun. By far the most interesting part of my play.
- Challenge system looked like it could be interesting for extended play after beating the original game.
Cons
- The core game is quite easy. It's a kid game, so I except it to be. Still, I wonder if there are any games I will rent these days that will be difficult in the first hour of play.
- The battle system is pretty repetitive. The one boss fight I did was really fun, though.
- The save system sucks. You have to do it yourself, and you have to select the save device every time.
Verdict
I could see myself playing more of this game if I was bored or wanted some nostalgia, but it don't yearn to go back to it.
